Successful Meal Prep: Tip #1

Updated: Aug 3, 2021

I love to post easy AF recipes especially now because we all have a little more time to be in the kitchen. But if I'm being honest, some, if not most days, when I get done working (in my home) the LAST thing I feel like doing is making a full-on meal (in my home). Some people meal prep to save time during the week, I meal prep because I am lazy AF and don’t feel like cooking every night Here is 1️ tip out of 3️ to help make meal prepping as easy and stress-free as possible

Tip #1: MAKE A MEAL PLAN⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The best way to be successful with meal prepping is to be organized. Having a meal plan and making a detailed list will help you get through the grocery store faster with less trips (which is definitely a plus during this pandemic!)

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Plan what days you are going to prep food. Plan to prep all of your food on one day (i.e Sunday) or split it up into two (i.e. Sunday & Wednesday). I CAN’T STAND week old meal prep, so I am definitely the later. Prepped, cooked meals will generally last between 3-5 days in the refrigerator. You can always freeze and dethaw for the second half of the week if you do decide to only prep one day out of the week. If you’re just starting out with meal prepping, make two days’ worth of meals and build from there. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
